Used for certification of an organization's Quality Management System.

ISO 9001 is a generic standard and can be applied to any type of organization by implementing the system requirements to a specific product category. Standard provides only requirement for certification, not how to implement. Method to meet the requirement has to be planned by organization considering their business, processes, product and competence.

An ISO 9001 certificate provides confidence to interested parties that the organization has implemented a documented Quality Management System and has capability to meet specified and statutory requirements.
